One Amigo signing in

After a bit of a bumpy flight I have made it. Thank you drugs. I needed you. I am pleased to say that spending the extra dosh to upgrade to business class was worth every single cent! Just for the extra leg room and, praise be to the wise one, seats that recline. The plane from Dubai was ENORMOUS and taking off was a bit of a lumbering effort. But I am safely delivered to a quite warm and hectic London.
The hotel, called the Hilton, but not THE Hilton, is on busy Bayswater Road and is close to most things. After checking in I decided to join the million other people who were lounging about in Hyde Park. Loads of people sun bathing - I guess 27 degrees is a heat wave for Londoners. Even the weather presenter refered to this as a heat wave. Cute!
After strolling through the park I walked to the Victoria & Albert Museum and spent a couple of hours wandering about. Then feeling like a dose of culture, I visited the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. I contemplated a visit to Harrods but after last year's extravagantpurchase of hand bag that sits at home in my cupboard, still in its protective bag, I decided to skip that pleasure and wander around Bayswater. I located the next hotel I am bookedinto and can easily walk there.
By this stage my feet were hurting and I was feeling a wee bit tired so returned to the hotel for abite to eat and an early night.
My sisters will be thrilled to know that the elevator at the hotel is roughly 50cm bigger than that deathtrap at the Commodore. And it supposedly holds 8 people which is a lie. It barely held me and my luggage...no comments aboutmy size, thanks.
Looking forward to a good sleep and another busy day tomorrow.
