Today we travelled from Paddington to Swansea, then changed trains to travel to Kilgetty before catching a taxi to Amroth. It was a long day to get from A to B but some of the Welsh scenery made up for it. I had a moment of celebrity spotting at Paddington - not sure of his name but he played Mr Moray in the The Paradise.  Had it been Ben Daniels I would have pursued him for a photograph  :)
Amroth is lovely and the B & B here is beautiful, the owners are friendly and welcoming and I have a room with a comfy bed - no lumpy sofa in sight! We had a cup of tea with homemade cake then a meal later at The New Inn. Can't complain.
The real pain starts tomorrow as we begin our hiking. Stay tuned  :)
Had my dose of puppy love - with a cute Staffy pup; and her big brother. Hoping the 2Ms are behaving themselves.

our adventures so far - now that we have got wifi

Day 2 in lovely London and the weather took a turn for the better - nice and cold. The weather report said it was one of the coldest days on record and I must admit, it was a tad chilly, especially at night.
I just want to say that the accommodation was pretty crap (and not just because we didn't have any toilet paper). Sister #1 had rung the owners/ caretakers of the apartment to report the lack of internet connection among other things, butshe was not very helpful. I do believe there will be a somewhat scathing report on Trip Advisor...
We caught the tube/train out of the city and travelled to Bletchley Park, made even more famous by the recent movie "The Imitation Game"- which I watched on the plane- it was a very interesting place to visit and loads of things to look at and read. The site was going to be knocked down to make way for housing but the media stepped in to cover a farewell reunion and things progressed from there. How lucky is that? Anyway, I enjoyed visiting BP and recommend a visit.
Back on the train to London and we went on a marathon expedition to find a mobile wifi device. We walked for kilometres in search of the elusive device, asking in multiple stores. Success finally - sister #1 purchased her wifi and we have all been very happy about that :)  Although trying to plug the damn thing in for charging was a bit harrowing - why are UK powerpoints so odd?
Dinner that night was at a very busy cafe in Paddington called Garfunkels (did I spell that correctly? Apologies to Simon if not.) The food was delicious and the service friendly.
Next stop - train to Marble Arch ( I like how this was once the site for public executions..) to catch the Big Bus Night Tour. We trundled around London for a good while, taking in the sites and experiencing the cold night air on top of the open air bus. When I say cold, I really do mean cold. People who know me will appreciate this. :) I had dosed up on nausea tablets..
The city was bustling and crowded - loads of people out but that seems normal.I do like London but don't think I could live here...out in the country, yes, London is too busy for me!
After the tour and possibly suffering from mild hypothermia, we went back to the apartment and I wrestled with the lumpy sofa for most of the night.
Friday - we head off to Wales.
